MEMBER TRAINING

Auxiliarist can pursue training in the Auxiliary Member Training (MT) programs to increase their knowledge and skills, and to attain qualifications for participation in various Auxiliary and Coast Guard programs.

Every member can specialize in any or all of seven different specialty areas in the operational and administrative fields. The six specialty courses are Auxiliary Communications, Navigation, Patrols, Search and Rescue, Seamanship and Weather.

Special qualifications are available as instructors, vessel examiners, aids to navigation  verifiers, marine dealer visitors, boat crew and coxswains, pilots and air observers
